Brian dove straight into the new CNC lathe and started designing prototype dies for our big press.
And of course, the only responsible way to test them was to heat up some bar stock in the Apollo and start squishing steel. Each dish is forged from cutoffs of round or hex bar - pressed hot and stamped with our skull icon before getting tumbled smooth and hand-waxed to protect from rust.
Large Spike Dish
They're all small, but this is the heavyweight of the lineup. Forged from round bar and pressed with the test spike die, this one is 3" across, solid, and built to live wherever you put it.
3" diam x 1.5" high, 2.15 lbs.
Small Spike Dish
Same spike-pressed attitude as the large version, just a smaller (and lighter) footprint. Forged from round bar, still packs more weight than it looks like it should.
2.5" diam x 1.25" high, 1.5 lbs.
Side Hex Dish
Pressed while resting on one of its six faces, giving it that offset, angled shape. Weird in the best way.
2" across x .75" high, 5.9 oz.
Mini Hex Dish
Pressed from small hex bar. A perfect little geometric catch-all with a clean, faceted outer edge.
1.75" to 2" diam x .75" high, 5.8 oz.
Micro Hex Dish
The tiniest of the lineup. A micro geometric dish for rings, earrings, or whatever tiny chaos you need contained.
1.5" diam x .75" high, 4.5 oz.
